Il settimo seminario del Porvoo Group si è tenuto a Reykjavík, in Islanda, con una nutrita agenda.
La presentazione (PDF - 511Kb) di Bud illustra nel dettaglio le architetture e i progetti (principalmente OpenSC, www.opensc.org) proposti per una soluzione che consenta una reale interoperabilità.
Il documento "Open Source Solutions for Interoperability in the eID Domain" (PDF, 181Kb) discute invece diffusamente i presupposti.
Il Porvoo group ha deciso di fare propria questa iniziativa e di supportarla attivamente nella risoluzione (MS Word per ora, sorry) finale:

Resolution 6. Open source solutions for eID

"The seminar heartily welcomed a progress report by Mr. Bud P. Bruegger on an open source framework and organizational approach for achieving interoperability on both client and server with potentially all electronic ID cards that are currently in circulation. Current work focuses on a demonstrator for authentication with Belgian, Estonian, Finnish and possibly Italian and Spanish electronic ID cards that should be ready for presentation to the eID community shortly. All interested parties willing to cooperate and contribute to the further development are invited and urged to enlist on the supporting email server by mailing http://www.comune.grosseto.it/interopEID/. The Porvoo Group will closely monitor the progress."
